  • 1 large Italian hoagie roll (6-8 inches)
  • 2 oz salami, sliced
  • 2 oz pepperoni, sliced
  • 2 oz capicola, sliced
  • 2 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup banana peppers, sliced
  • ¼ cup olives, sliced (green or black, your choice)
Dressing
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and slicing your vegetables. Rinse the romaine lettuce and dry it thoroughly, then shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Slice the cherry tomatoes, red onion, and banana peppers. Set aside in a large bowl.
Dressing Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Add the salami, pepperoni, capicola, provolone cheese, olives, and the prepared dressing to the bowl of vegetables.
  2. Toss everything together gently until all the ingredients are well coated.
Assemble Sandwich
  1. Slice your hoagie roll open lengthwise. Optionally, toast the insides for a crispier texture.
  2. Layer a generous amount of the mixed salad onto the bottom half of the roll.
  3. Top with the other half of the roll to complete your sandwich.
